Plan one meal, leave the rest flexible

Choose one restaurant or food experience you genuinely care about, then keep other meals near your day’s route. Osaka’s Dotonbori is a useful area for exploring restaurant choices, but a busy sign is not a menu recommendation. Check opening days, queue or reservation rules, and whether the final order time differs from closing time.

Ask about ingredients, not just dish names

A dish that looks meat-free may contain fish-based stock. Vegetarian, vegan, halal and allergy requirements are different questions. Explain the exact ingredients you avoid and ask about preparation where it matters. For halal needs, check the restaurant’s own certification or stated practice; “no pork” alone does not establish halal suitability.

Food tours · Compare the complete experience

Compare the guide language, walking distance, tastings, drinks and group size. Tell the operator about dietary needs before payment and get a clear answer about what can be accommodated. A tour with many small tastings may not equal a full dinner for you. Check cancellation terms and the exact meeting point.
